Directions:
From the A1 at Hatfield:
Approach the town along the A414 - parking in the Gascoyne Way car park (on the A414).
Alternatively, turn left into the town centre - following the B158 to Bengeo. Turn right at McMullan's brewery, just past the library (Hartham Lane). Keep right and park in Hartham Common car park.
To find the club:
From Gascoyne Way car park - leave using pedestrian exit onto Fore Street. Turn left, walking until you reach the Salisbury Arms hotel (the only hotel in Hertford!). Turn right and Bull Plain is 50 metres ahead of you, straight on. The Hertford Club is at the end of Bull Plain on the right-hand side - an old house set in gardens. If you cross the river - you've gone too far! Sign the visitors book as you enter (put 'HCC'), buy a drink at the bar, and find the Chauncey Room upstairs - through the door to the right side of the bar!
From Hartham - From the car park cross the weird onto Folly Island (follow the terraced houses!). Go straight on until you reach the New River (ducks, canal boats, the lot!). Turn right, walking along the river until you pass the Barge Pub. Looking left, the club is across the river from you!
